Dispatcher Rayne Idland received a Letter of Excellence on January 8, 2019 at the City Council Meeting. Dispatcher Idland was the dispatcher on duty when officers advised on radio that they were en route to a local residence where a physical altercation was in place. 911 calls started coming into the dispatch center.
The incident involved a weapon being discharged and children present in the residence. Dispatcher Rayne Idland was able to relay necessary information to responding units and maintain contact with the primary party involved.
